Process & Profile

Belfour Small Batch Straight Bourbon is a limited release developed by former NHL goaltender Ed Belfour. Distilled in North Carolina, this wheated bourbon uses a mash bill of 60% corn, 30% wheat, and 10% malted barley. It is bottled at 100.5 proof and is non-chill filtered, offering a rich and full-bodied profile with complexity and smoothness.

Tasting Notes

  • Nose: Brown sugar cookie, honey, clove, and cinnamon

  • Palate: Creamy texture with pecan, hazelnut, peppermint, and hints of orange zest

  • Finish: Medium-long with graham cracker, honey, and mild pipe tobacco

What Makes It Special

  • Limited release from only 95 barrels

  • Bottled at barrel-entry proof (100.5), offering robust, undiluted flavor

  • Non-chill filtered for enhanced texture and complexity

  • Wheated mash bill imparts sweetness and balance

  • Created by a sports legend with a passion for fine whiskey

How to Enjoy

Best sipped neat or with a few drops of water to unlock its softer baking spice and nutty notes. Excellent in an Old Fashioned or classic whiskey sour.
